There will be just enough excitement on the river to make it fun, but you don’t need to be an experienced kayaker. Our inflatable Ducky Kayaks are wide and stable and perfect for beginners.

After your Verde River adventure you can take a leisurely cruise (in your own vehicle) to the Rendezvous restaurant and beer and wine bar in Old Town Cottonwood. The Rendezvous features an eclectic, delicious menu and is located at the “Gateway to Old Town Cottonwood” the newest, hippest scene in the area. The setting is intimate, social and casual with over 20 micro brews and 25 wines from Arizona and around the world. It is the perfect way to end an epic river day in the high desert, in the beauty of the lush Verde River Valley with a place to relax, socialize and enjoy a frosty brew.

Tour Time:
The total time on the tour is approximately 4 hours from start to finish.

Launch Time and Location:
There are multiple tours daily. Please call for availability for date you want to go. The tour departs from the Verde River Adventure Center, 45 W. Hollamon Camp Verde, AZ 86322 (map and directions).

Price:
Adults: $105.00 (must be over 21 and have a valid driver’s license). Children: $75.00 per child (12 and under with no Rendezvous credit provided).
The adult price includes $20 Rendezvous credit which can be used the same day as your Verde River Trip or you can use it on another trip to the beautiful Sedona – Verde River Valley area.

  • Children 3-12 must be in a tandem kayak with an adult.
  • There must be four people on the tour for it to go out, including your party and any others that reserve your tour.

What to bring:
Sunhat, sunscreen, sunglasses, camera in a Ziploc water proof bag. Dress appropriately for the weather and the time of year.

What we provide:
Ducky Kayak, paddle, life jacket, awesome guide, snacks, water and $20.00 per adult credit at the Rendezvous for purchase of beer, wine, food, or gifts.

Typical Schedule and Itinerary (This is a sample – your tour times will be included in your confirmation email)

  • 7:30 – Arrive, park your vehicle, and check in at the Verde River Adventure Center. (Map & Directions) 
  • 8:00 – Our shuttle will take you to the river departure point for safety orientation and Ducky Kayak instructions.
  • 9:00 – Trip Launches for fun and sporty sections of the Verde River, such as Treasure Island, Clear Creek Rapid, Rocky Drop, Tunnel of Love and more!
  • 11:30 – Verde River Trip takes out at Beasley Flats. (Time depends on season and water flow conditions). Load up into our Shuttle for a ride back to the Verde River Adventure Center.
  • 12:00 – Arrive at the Verde River Adventure Center in Camp Verde (where you parked your wheels)Now in the comfort of your own vehicle you can leisurely make your way to the Rendezvous in Old Town Cottonwood (about 30 minute drive from Camp Verde)  for great beer, wine and food!
  • 12:30 Arrive at the Rendezvous at the “Gateway to Old Town Cottonwood” for a well deserved frosty pint, chilled glass of wine and lunch.
